October 12, 2008 SNOW

Yes this is what we woke up to this morning, it has been snowing off and on all day with more snow expected tonight. Yeah, me not so happy, everyone else in our house just can't wait to play in it.

(did you see our Home For Sale sign missing? Happens at least once a week.)

Our vacation, one shot at a time... Day 1

Day 1 :

A real Philly cheesesteak, well except yellow cheese is gross, it has provolone instead.

We flew into St. Louis, had an extra hour delay then flew into Philly. Dropped Ed and J G off at ROH and then went to the hotel. They had a blast!

One yr, has it really been 1 yr since I held my precious little girl in my arms for the 1st time, okay 50 weeks and 6 days, but she is growing so fast!

Yesterday was the 1st time since C. was born that i have left her for very long, never over night. So when she woke up yesterday, happy and excited I took the moment to have some Mommy time with her. M. and Dh were fast asleep on our bed.

Carters has come out with the greatest new Jammie's, their full one piece footed PJ's, but with out the feet. Both of my kiddos get sweaty feet, both over heat big time, but both love these pj's, I am going to have to buy some more.

Okay, maybe we are a little weird, everyone in our house looks out the blinds, every morning, everyday. We live in the middle of nowhere not much to see, maybe the sprinklers coming on or what not. Actually I shouldn't say that because a few months ago there was a fire at a house that we see from our bedroom window, we called 911 and dh ran over to see if he could help. Everyone got out safe. So I guess it is a good thing we look out the window. Hey even C. now does it.

Sunday we spent some time in our backyard. M. loves to make "grass" angels and it is just plain fun to be out there. Now that C. is mobile she loves to eat rocks?? and Twigs?? The summer is slowly winding down and it is nice to enjoy the outdoors in the shade.

Cake

Yep this is the child that made me crave sweets and cake. Even before we knew we were pregnant I wanted cake. Not to weird except I hated cake, had for my whole life. Now I can't get enough, and apparently neither can she.

The start...

I love taking pictures, they are a reminder to me of the day to day shots that we forget. I started in high school with my dad's pentax slr. It was great and the shot I took were fun. Then I got my own Pentax SLR and shot my early 20's through the lens. M. was on the way and we decided to get a Digital and ended up with a Cannon Point n shoot that would still be with us, except it is lost in a corn field somewhere. We replaced it with another Cannon point n shoot, which saw one too many drops (our 3yr old). For Mothers day this yr I got panasonic Lumix Dmc-Tx4 with a 10x optical zoom. I love it! Some day I will own a digital SLR but for now I love that this Point n shoot can go with me anywhere and along with Adobe Photoshop I am able to make the best shots I can. I read not to long ago on a great photographers blog that she is trying to take shots that don't need photoshop just a little cropping. So this summer that has been my goal. This blog is dedicated to our lives through the lens of my camera.
